Worked on the exhibition catalogue for Charles Lim Yi Yong’s (b. 1973, Singapore) commissioned exhibition at National Gallery Singapore. Charles seeked to generate conversations on the country’s land reclamation process. He adventured through reclaimed lands, then worked with the Gallery’s Senior Curator Adele Tan, and local botanical consultant Veera Sekaran, to curate and transport 30 plant species from the lands to the National Gallery rooftop. His living installation “Sea State 9: Proclamation Garden” was planted on the Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery from 27 April to 27 October 2019. The cover was finished with actual sand Charles collected from areas where he found the plants.
